Bigger is better--great planting tool
I have never had a trowel this big. I just received it but being in Texas it has already seen a lot of use. I just planted 40 plants today and this thing is simply the best trowel I have ever used.

It gets enough soil to easily plant small flowers and 4 inch plants in one scoop, yet is light-weight. It is like a mini-hand shovel. Then I just keep the displaced soil in the trowel reach for it after inserting the plant and place the soil around the new transplant.

Now the handle is pretty big around. It was very comfortable for me. Not sure it would be super comfortable for ladies but because it is very cushy and soft it should be ok even though it is big. I do not work for Fiskars but they have become my go-to garden gear choice this past year. Have yet to be disappointed. Have your eye on that 6-pack of petunias? Or severl 6-packs? Get this bad boy then go to town.

Great garden tool
I love this trowel & use it every time I tend to my flowerbeds.
It's got a great, sturdy, rubber handle for good grip & it does its job very well.

Great tool. Definitely recommend.
This is the first trowel that I've owned that I haven't managed to break. Very sturdy. The handle is comfortable, and it slices nice and easily into the the hard clay we have here locally. Fantastic value for the money.

Well made, but ages rapidly.
This sturdy trowel fits my needs exactly, my only surprise is that after a week outside, the orange part has faded almost to white and the metal is covered with a fine layer of oxidation. This is only cosmetic and in no way compromises the utility.
I'm happy with the purchase, and would buy it again.

Love these Big Grip tools
I wish they had more of these; I hope they start offering others, such as a weeder, mattock, and the like.

I have the cultivator and this trowel (which is actually more of a scoop; it has a very wide, open blade, and is best used for moving large amounts of material, such as digging a transplanting hole for a 1gal or so plant, or for scooping garden soil or planting mix from the bag).

I like it a lot. It's got a good, soft grip, and my hands don't cramp up after using it for a long period of time. They also seem to be very well made, strong tools. The blade is more of a dull metallic color (not shiny) which I like a lot.

Finally, the tag it comes with comes on a nice, nylon, braided cord; I ripped the tag off and kept the cord as it's great for hanging the scoop up when I'm done using it!
